Domestic and residential scaffolding

Roof repairs, extensions, loft conversions and repointing, on driveways and gardens we leave as we found them.

Independent scaffold erected across the front elevation of a detached house for roof and gable works

Most of our work is somebody’s home. That changes how you do the job. We plan the lift so the boards clear your guttering rather than crush it, we set base plates on sole boards so your lawn and block paving survive, and we take the debris with us when we strike.

Whether it is a two day chimney repair or a six month extension, you get the same thing: a scaffold that goes up when we said it would, passes the roofer’s first look, and comes down the day you no longer need it.

What is included

  • Independent and putlog scaffolds to two, three and four storeys
  • Sole boards and ground protection over lawns, patios and block paving
  • Ladder access with gates, guardrails and toe boards as standard
  • Handover certificate and scaff tag on day one, seven day inspections after
  • Struck and cleared within 48 hours of your call, usually sooner

Domestic scaffolding: your questions

How much does domestic scaffolding cost?

It depends on height, the number of elevations and how long you need it. A single elevation on a two storey house is at the lower end, a full wrap with a temporary roof is at the top. We survey free of charge and give you a written price, so you are never guessing.

How long can I keep the scaffold up?

Our quotes normally include a hire period of six to eight weeks. Jobs overrun, that is building work. Tell us and we will extend at a fair weekly rate rather than penalise you for a delayed roofer.

Do I need a licence for scaffolding on my property?

Not if it sits entirely within your boundary. If any part of it stands on the pavement or road you need a highways licence from the council. We arrange that for you and factor it into the quote.

  • 5 out of 5 stars. Olly and his team were super efficient, friendly and helpful when putting up the scaffolding for roof work that had to be carried out on my house. As soon as the work was finished, they wasted no time and returned the same day to take it down again. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

  • 5 out of 5 stars. Oli at Jarvis scaffolding could not have been more helpful in facilitating the deconstruction of our scaffolding. He was able to bring a team in and have it down with 48 hours notice. Highly professional, fairly priced and great to deal with.

  • 5 out of 5 stars. Masterfully done and not a scratch. Was a difficult placement, across different owners' roofs and with some tricky angles, but they managed quickly and perfectly. Friendly local guys. Highly recommend.
