Scaffolding in Surrey

Our Guildford base puts most of Surrey inside a forty minute drive, which is why so much of our week is spent between Godalming, Woking and the villages either side of the A3.

What Surrey throws at a scaffolder

Surrey is a county of extremes for a scaffolder. You have Victorian and Edwardian terraces in the town centres where everything has to come through a shared side passage, and you have large detached properties on wooded plots where the challenge is landing a scaffold on a slope without churning up the grounds.

Add the conservation areas around Farnham, Godalming and the Surrey Hills, where planners and neighbours both take an interest in what appears on the front elevation, and you learn quickly that the survey matters more than the tube. We price what we have actually seen.

What we do across Surrey

  • Domestic scaffolding, roof repairs, extensions, loft conversions and repointing, on driveways and gardens we leave as we found them.
  • Commercial scaffolding, shops, schools, offices and industrial units, sequenced around your programme rather than ours.
  • Temporary roofs, a watertight lid over the whole structure so a stripped roof is not at the mercy of the forecast.
  • Chimney & gutter access, tight, stable towers that reach the awkward point on the roof without damaging tiles or borders.
  • Conservatory bridging, beam bridges that span glass roofs and outbuildings so nothing rests on a structure that cannot take it.
  • Birdcage & crash decks, fully boarded internal platforms for high ceilings, and crash decks that catch what falls.
  • Edge protection & gantries, roof edge protection, pedestrian gantries, loading bays and lift shaft access.

  • 5 out of 5 stars. Olly and his team were super efficient, friendly and helpful when putting up the scaffolding for roof work that had to be carried out on my house. As soon as the work was finished, they wasted no time and returned the same day to take it down again. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

  • 5 out of 5 stars. Oli at Jarvis scaffolding could not have been more helpful in facilitating the deconstruction of our scaffolding. He was able to bring a team in and have it down with 48 hours notice. Highly professional, fairly priced and great to deal with.

  • 5 out of 5 stars. Masterfully done and not a scratch. Was a difficult placement, across different owners' roofs and with some tricky angles, but they managed quickly and perfectly. Friendly local guys. Highly recommend.
